Craig Alexander never ceases to amaze the triathlon world.  Afterall, he's been doing it for more than 20 years!  At age 45, the 5x Ironman and Ironman 70.3 World Champion remains as humble as can be (Sans Ego) but no less hungry to perform than his younger self, the feisty Sydney based ITU athlete back in 2002.  With an unfortunate broken collarbone in late 2017, Alexander's 2018 season started off with some physical challenges.  However late 2018 proved to be ripe training time for the man they call Crowie and it showed at one of Australia's longest and largest half distance(ish) races, The Huskisson Triathlon festival.  Alexander stormed to his 6th win this past weekend taking out a solid field consisting of Ironman World Champion Pete Jacobs, multi Ironman winner Joe Skipper, and a host of local athletes half of Crowie's age.   Although the course location was changed this year, Crowie reaffirmed why he was voted the greatest of all time with a solid swim that left him 45 seconds down, a smart bike that allowed a co-shared entrance into T2, and experienced tactics with the launch of the legend's unmistakable run form that powered him all the way to the win (including a broken race jersey).  Age is simply a number when it comes to greatness.
