The consistency of Aussie professional triathlete Sam Appleton at the Ironman 70.3 distance is seriously impressive.  The 11x 70.3 Champion is only 27 years old and has already made enough of a mark at the half distance that he is considered one the favorites at nearly every race when he's in the lineup.  The 2018 Ironman Santa Rosa 70.3 course was shortened due to bunk swim conditions which kept Appo away from one of his serious strengths, leading out of the water.  Especially after dealing w some health issues earlier in the year, cancelling the swim and starting with a bike TT was not ideal for the young Aussie. However Appo stepped up and crushed the bike/run and left Sonoma county with a win, his 2nd of the 2018!  Brands looking to partner with a consistent winner and a guy with a long future ahead should seriously consider Sam Appleton.
