Olympic Fencing extraordinaire Monica Aksamit might be one of the world's most well known fencers.  Not only because of her skills with the saber or her Rio Olympic Medal or her budding modeling career, but because she openly has engaged her fans and the media with the reality of what it takes (financially) to make it to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.  And how a lower profile sport like fencing carves up its top participants with little support and a mountain of expenses.  This month, Aksamit is featured in the New York Post as the media outlet explores the New Jersey resident's journey for 2020 victory.  And while gold is on Askamit's mind, the road to get to Tokyo is barely even paved.   

With the new found attention on the launch of Aksamit's GoFundMe page, Olympic Athletes are exploring any option they can to drive support of their dream to bring home the hardware next August.
