Norman Finds the Podium in Leeds
Multiple-time Paralympic medalist, Grace Norman, is excited to be out of school and focused 100% on the upcoming Tokyo Games, where she will defend her triathlon Gold Medal from the 2016 Rio Games. Norman, who graduated last spring, lined up in Leeds this past weekend with expectations to perform well. And that she did. While a sprint finish for the final podium spot may be a bit lower than the typical standards Norman sets for herself, it was a great performance against athletes she will no doubt face off with again soon on the sport's biggest stage; the 2020 Paralympic Games coming this September. Norman battled her British nemesis and runner up from the Rio Games, Lauren Steadman (1st), as well the impressive Claire Cashmore (2nd) who sprinted it out for 2nd place in the final meters of the run, netting America's finest with the final podium and a bronze medal. Norman returns to the US this week to continue her training in the heart of the midwest, as well as begin production of a video storyline being produced by partner Shimano.
