Pearson Finds the Podium in Huatulco
2018 Rookie of the Year Morgan Pearson immersed himself into the world of Olympic level triathlon just a couple of years ago. The Olympic hopeful came out of University of Colorado's premier running program with a new goal of trying to make it to the 2020 Tokyo Games - in swim, bike, and run. USAT recognized Pearson's run pedigree and high-level competition talent, especially after winning the age group sprint nationals race back in 2017. Pearson accepted his invite into the USAT's elite development program and the 'transition' to triathlete' process began. Fast forward 18 months later and the program's (and Pearson's) work is starting to bear fruit. Last week, Morgan Pearson finished 2nd at the 2019 ITU Huatulco World Cup in Oaxaca, Mexico. #BravoMorgan #Trajectory #Tokyo2020
