Pearson Tees Up the Pures in Michigan
A professional triathlete lined up for the Michigan Pro Half, a foot race hosted by the Hansons-Brooks Original Distance Project (ODP), and certainly a welcome opportunity in this very strange year for the top US runners to finally line up on home soil and battle it out with top competitors. Except none of the pure runners probably saw the guy who swims and bikes on top of his run training as a threat for the top. Albeit, Olympic triathlete hopeful Morgan Pearson was a stand out collegiate runner before being recruited by USA Triathlon to join their program and get on a racing bike for the first time. But still...for the guy who is trying to learn a new sport combination, MP clearly left some rocket fuel in the run legs and showed up in Michigan a bit under the radar until the final sprint took him to the top section of the podium with a 1:02:15 win. #BravoMorgan
