Heather Wurtele defended her bronze medal position amongst two world champion Australian speedsters at least weekend's Ironman 70.3 Texas.  Heather exited the water with the eventual winner Melissa Hauschildt and multi time Ironman World Champion Mirinda Carfrae.   Heather produced her usual strong run and held tight with the two highly pedeigreed Australian runner/world championships to place 3rd.
